About Vista Pointe

Our current WindSong communities include: WindSong at Eola Hills, located in Salem, Oregon, WindSong at Rock Creek, located in Fort Collins, Colorado and WindSong at Northridge, located in Greeley, Colorado. Construction has begun on a fourth community, WindSong at Southridge, located in Kennewick, Washington. We anticipate opening this community in the Winter of 2020.

We Specialize in Memory Care

Our residents are welcomed to our communities by professionally trained staff that specialize in providing care through the Montessori Inspired Lifestyle Approach to dementia care. Montessori Care focuses on muscle memory, the five senses, and building on existing skills, interests and abilities. Activities and everyday interactions are utilized as a means to reconnect to persons with dementia who may seem unreachable. Donald K. Harris

Principal

Don Harris has been active in the senior housing business for over 30 years. He began as an independent CPA for Holiday Retirement Corp. in 1979, performing tax and audit services for a company that grew to over 300 communities throughout the United States and Canada. In 1998, Don sold his CPA practice and joined Holiday Retirement as their CFO. During his tenure with Holiday Retirement, Don served in a variety of financial, executive leadership, IT, risk management and Human Resource roles.

In 2010 Don joined Frontier Management, a senior housing company managing over 40 communities including independent living, assisted living, memory care and nursing homes. Don was integrally involved in developing and implementing innovative activity and care programs utilized in memory care communities as well as programs tailored for assisted living properties. Don’s vast experience in the various aspects of senior living and senior care led him to his role as Principal of Vista Pointe Development Co. where he is furthering his passion by developing quality senior and memory care facilities and care programs.

Mike Zingg

Principal

Mike has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry. He has acted in capacities ranging from carpentry to project management to President and CEO. Mike’s skillset lies in creating and maintaining team relationships. He is committed to the design build process believing it produces the most successful outcomes for his clients. Since moving to Oregon in 2005, Mike has been developing local strategic contracts and building partnerships that include his partnership with Don Harris at Vista Pointe Development Co.

He lives with his wife Sherri in Portland, Oregon. Mike's passions include being outdoors, travel, reading, and a great dinner with friends.
